Nature Valley came to us with a sampling brief for the ITV Central region. They wanted to trial 150,000 of their delicious Crunchy Granola Bars in just this one area, to create a highly measurable campaign.

Broccoli’s idea was to distribute samples with 35 major regional paid-for newspapers over a one month period. This solution limited wastage and gave us the opportunity to sample across a large number of cities and a broad variety of venues including supermarkets, city centres and at large local outdoor events.

The in-paper space Nature Valley received to promote the activity was phenomenal and its value far exceeded the total cost of the campaign. We also sited posters at all 255 high footfall sampling locations, which ensured awareness of the brand was dramatically increased.
